University of San Francisco - School of Management. How can cell-phone data guide us towards a more sustainable transport infrastructure? Learn about the "Data for Development" (D4D) challenge, an archetypical industry-academic collaboration to stimulate global development through open data science research. In this particular challenge, our M.S. in Analytics students worked with faculty to demonstrate how open source data analytics architecture can provide a powerful tool for urban planners to study commute behavior based on 2.5 billion cell phone records from the Ivory Coast. The M.S. in Analytics program at the University of San Francisco is a one-year intensive that provides students with the deep analytics skills necessary to develop techniques and processes for data-driven decision-making and effective business strategies. Equipping our workforce with the ability to not only extract and analyze real-world data but communicate actionable insight to business decision makers is fundamental to commercial innovation, competition, and productivity.
